WHAT IT MEANS: Not surprisingly, buying plans for inorganic and organic chemicals are low, with only 18% and 15% of buyers planning to increase sourcing this quarter.

WHAT IT MEANS: CMAI says propylene and polypropylene trade is expected to increase due to the addition of export-oriented propylene and derivative capacity in the Middle East feeds the demand in China.

WHAT IT MEANS: That's a continued increase from January when only 5% of buyers planned to build chem inventories, but buying plans remain low in the unsure chemical industry.
