Grainger has published a 12-page hurricane preparedness guide and launched a dedicated website at www.grainger.com/hurricane to help businesses prepare in advance of a hurricane.
“The guide highlights vital steps to help businesses safeguard their assets and maintain efficient operations during an emergency,” says Don Scheibenreif, vice president of strategic marketing for Grainger in Lake Forest, Ill.
Researchers are predicting an above-average hurricane season for 2008. This year is forecasted to see 13 named storms, seven hurricanes, three intense hurricanes and a 60% chance of a major hurricane making landfall on the U.S. coastline.
The guide has checklists, product solutions and guidelines for taking action ahead of time to minimize damage.
