Motion Industries acquires Drago Supply Co.

Motion Industries has acquired Drago Supply Co., a regional industrial supplies company headquartered in Port Arthur, Texas.

With annual revenues of approximately $75 million, Drago has eight locations in Texas, Arkansas and Louisiana.

Drago Supply stocks more than 30,000 items including hand tools, power tools, general hardware, cutting tools, abrasives, contractor supplies, safety supplies and paper and janitorial supplies. It inventories and distributes products from more than 700 manufacturers including Stanley-Proto, 3M, Union, Ingersoll Rand, DeWalt, Dow Corning, Cooper Tools and Kimberly Clark.

Joe Drago, president; Philip Drago, executive vice president of marketing and Sam Drago, executive vice president of business development will remain as management and continue to operate the business as the Drago Supply Co.

With $3.4 billion in annual sales, Motion Industries is seventh on Industrial Distribution magazine’s Big 50 list of industrial distributors for 2008.
