Paul C. Dilworth has been named senior vice president of purchasing and logistics at the Moore corp., a supplier of document-formatted information, print outsourcing and data-based marketing. Prior to joining Moore Corp., Dilworth held a series of senior management positions at Quebecor World including vice president, group controller and plant controller.
Brian O'Connor, director of supply chain at Celestica New England, received the Harry J. Graham Award from the Purchasing Management Association of Boston (PMAB) for unusual, unselfish service and distinction in the profession. In addition to his corporate responsibilities, O'Connor lectures on supply chain management strategies at conferences, teaches purchasing courses, and has served the association as a volunteer for 15 years.
Nancy F. Mailhot was appointed vice president, global sourcing to Phelps Dodge Mining Co. In this position, Mailhot will be responsible for all aspects of global supply chain management for the mining business including purchasing negotiations, inventory management, supplier quality and other strategic sourcing issues. Mailhot joins Phelps Dodge from Owens Corning, where she most recently served as the director of strategic commodities sourcing.
Charles W. Coker, Jr. has been named division vice president and general manager of Sonoco's custom designed protective packaging business. Coker, previously staff vice president, corporate purchasing and logistics, has held a number of division and corporate sales, marketing and staff positions since joining Sonoco in 1981. Coker holds a B.S. from Vanderbilt University and an MBA from the University of Virginia. In his new role, Coker will lead the company's custom-designed protective packaging division headquartered in Nashville, Tenn.
John Carr has been named senior vice president of supply chain management operations at Bax Global Inc. Carr, a 22-year inter-national logistics professional, has spent the past 11 years with Fritz Companies where he was most recently group vice president, business development for North America. In his new position, Carr will be responsible for day-to-day operations of Bax Global's U.S. supply chain management activities, as well as its strategic oversight for global supply chain accounts.
