Worried

• I’m worried that raising oil prices will catch us flatfooted. Again.
• I’m worried that some and more likely many vital suppliers are on the verge of bankruptcy.
• I’m worried that bankruptcy is now considered “fast and easy” and not recognized as a painful process of last resort that dramatically impacts all facets of the supply chain for years.
• I’m worried that piracy has fallen off the front page and transportation surcharges have become an accepted business practice.
• I’m worried how geopolitical pressures will impact supply chain risk.
• I’m worried that we are losing the term “purchasing” in too many organizations.
• I’m worried that we as a profession are understaffed to meet increased demand if and when it comes…and it is coming!
• I’m worried that organizational stress is impacting our health and families.
• I’m worried about those purchasing folks with lagging computer and technology skills.
• I’m worried that people will stop reading my blog!
