Lee is a graduate of Quinnipiac University School of Law, received a M.B.A. from the University of New Haven, and a B.A. in Economics from George Mason University. He has been certified as a purchasing manager (C.P.M.) by the Institute for Supply Management, and certified in production & inventory management (CPIM) by the American Production and Inventory Control Society.
